Connect BizAssets to your AI assistant
BizAssets can be connected to AI assistants that support remote MCP servers, including Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask your assistant to work with your BizAssets account in plain language — "list the invoices I saved this month", "save this client", "draft a quotation for 12 hours of design work at 90 USD an hour" — instead of opening the app and filling in a form. The connection is optional, free, and can be removed at any time.

Ten actions are available today:
Your saved documents
- List your saved documents — invoices, quotations, receipts, purchase orders and proforma invoices — with number, type, currency and status.
- Open one saved document in full, including every line item, the totals and both parties' details.
- Create a new document of any of those five types, saved to your account exactly as if you had created it in the builder. Free accounts stay limited to 10 saved documents.
Your client library
- List the clients you've saved.
- Save a new client (name, company, email, address).
Your saved line items
- List your reusable line items with their unit prices and units.
- Save a new reusable line item.
Guides
- List the published BizAssets invoicing guides, optionally by country.
- Read any published guide in full. These two are public — no account needed.
Your plan
- Report whether you're on Free or Pro, and your display name. Read only.
What it can't do
These limits are permanent, not a first-phase restriction:
- It cannot edit or delete a document you've already saved. Changes and deletions happen only in BizAssets, by you.
- It cannot see or use anything in E-Signature — no documents, no signers, no signing links, no audit records.
- It cannot change your plan, start or cancel a subscription, or touch any billing detail.
- It cannot delete anything at all: no clients, no line items, no account data.
How to connect
Claude
- Copy the BizAssets connection link above.
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it BizAssets and paste the link.
- Click Add, then approve the BizAssets consent screen when it appears.
- Enable BizAssets from the chat composer and ask it to list your documents.
ChatGPT
- Copy the connection link above.
- Enable Developer mode under Settings → Connectors → Advanced.
- Create a new connector, paste the name and link, confirm the warning ChatGPT shows for every custom server, then create.
- Approve the BizAssets consent screen.
- Enable BizAssets in the composer and ask it to list your documents.
Claude Code
Run this one line in a terminal:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http bizassets '<connection link>'Then run /mcp inside Claude Code to confirm the connection and sign in.
Other assistants
Open the assistant's MCP or custom connector settings, create a remote server connection, paste the BizAssets link, and complete the sign-in when prompted.
If something changes in BizAssets: assistants remember the list of actions from when you first connected. Refresh or re-add the connector to pick up anything new.
How your data stays yours
Connecting signs you in with your own BizAssets account. Every action the assistant takes runs as you, under the same permissions you have in the app — it can only ever see and create your own data, never anyone else's.
BizAssets does not hand the assistant an administrator key or any shared credential. You approve the connection on a consent screen that lists what the assistant will be able to do, and you can revoke it at any time from your account settings.
