About the PDF splitter

Long PDFs are convenient to send but inconvenient to use โ€” a 60-page report rarely needs to travel as a single file when the recipient only cares about three pages of it. The BizAssets PDF splitter pulls out exactly the pages you specify and gives you back either one subset PDF or one PDF per page, bundled into a single zip. It's quick, it's private, and there's nothing to install.

The split runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. We load the PDF in memory, copy the pages you ask for into a new document, and serialise the result so your browser can download it. Your file never travels to BizAssets, never touches a database, and is gone the moment you close the tab.

How to use it

Choose a PDF โ€” drag it in or use Choose file. Once the tool reads it, you'll see the page count. Type the pages you want into the Pages to extract box: 1-3,5,8-10 is the standard format and means "pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10". The order you type is the order you get; duplicates are ignored. Leave Per-page mode off to get a single subset PDF. Turn it on to get one PDF per selected page, bundled into a single zip download. Click Split & download.

A note on encrypted PDFs

Password-protected PDFs can't be opened in the browser. Decrypt the file first with Preview (macOS), Acrobat, or a command-line tool like qpdf and try again.
